Traci Dolphin believes that open dialogue at a company matters, and she values everyone’s opinion. With a sales team led by Libby Turner and a documentation group headed by Kira Jones, she works to empower the women and all employees at Draper, UT-based Commercial Funding Partners (CFP) in a way that helps everyone elevate their own careers. According to Dolphin, when employees feel empowered, happy and energetic because they are a part of a great team, their company will experience the most amount of success possible. She is a key player in creating such a team environment at CFP.

As partner and executive vice president of credit and syndications at CFP, Dolphin has been involved in the finance and lending industry since 1993 after her graduation from Utah State University, starting out in the mortgage industry. Joining CFP in 2019, she manages the company’s credit and syndication department, but she also has a successful background in sales. Since she joined CFP, the company’s fundings have tripled as she’s significantly increased the funding sources that are available to the company and its clients.

“I am fortunate to be a partner in a company that values women and the knowledge and talents that they bring to the equipment finance industry,” Dolphin says. “By knowing what our customers want and using the technology available, we position ourselves to grow our business and also help our clients grow as well.”

“Traci can fund our unique transactions and has a knack in developing strong relationships with both the customer and our funding partners while managing cash flow and risk,” Buddy Zarbock, president of CFP, says.

In any challenging environment, including the economically turbulent marketplace of 2022, Dolphin finds innovative solutions to meet her clients’ funding needs while ensuring her funding partners and CFP are always protected. By effectively balancing these two concerns, she creates win-win outcomes for all.

Dolphin is an active member of the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association, attending annual conferences and actively contributing to the equipment finance community in the state of Utah. Outside of her career, Dolphin enjoys spending time with her husband, three sons, daughter and granddaughter.
